Mighty To Save

I don't know what it is about this song but I LOVE IT.  From the first time I heard it I just fell in love with it.  I suppose it is the lyrics, the music, the heart in it, the message, the thankfulness it brings up in me toward Jesus who saves and saved me.  I get moved to tears EVERY SINGLE TIME I hear this song.  That's awkward when you are on a treadmill in a gym with other people btw. Just sayin'. :)
Michael W Smith has had, and continues to have, a BRILLIANT career.  One of the first to provide the masses of Christians with contemporary Christian music he has spanned the years by managing to stay mostly up to date!  The past few years have found him mostly providing the Church with incredible worship music.  It's my favorite "phase" of his.  While back in the day I listened to his pop stuff I eventually got tired of it, perhaps due to an increase in good music finally coming out of Christians.  But when he started coming out with worship I started listening to him again.
Michael W Smith knows what it is to be saved by God.  He knows, firsthand, that God is mighty to save.  Watch Michael talk about his rescue by clicking here.  In fact, once you watch Michael's story you'll want to listen to others and their stories of God's mighty hand of rescue in their own lives.  Check out iamsecond.com
God is mighty to save.  Don't believe that?  Okay but it doesn't change the truth of who God is and what God does.  He IS mighty to save, I have experienced it, Michael W Smith has experienced it, millions of people have experienced it.  I'm so grateful, so grateful.

The End of Affirmation 365

I've been thinking about it for over a month. Usually, when I'm in it I'm engaged. But this time? I started it indifferent and I've felt indifferent all along. I should have never started. Hindsight is 20/20 they say and they aren't wrong. So when I opened my eyes this morning it was clear. It's time. Time to quit this 365. This is the first 365 that I haven't posted several of the days, the first 365 that I wasn't super excited about, the first 365 that I've quit. I've changed my social media presence and interactions the past year so this is also the first 365 that hardly anyone has been interested in. Is it the topic or my decision to not be as accessible on social media? Or is it some other reason altogether? Well, regardless...I'm throwing in the towel on this one. I can't say if I'll ever do another 365 again. Time will tell and I will know if and when it's time.

Call it a Day

The literal use of this phrase hails from 1838 when the phrase originally was "call it half a day" to mean leaving work early. (source) The modern use of the phrase is to indicate ending something due to false sense of accomplishment.
