National Women's Friendship Day A landmark study by UCLA suggests that friendships between women are special. They shape who we are and who we are yet to be. They soothe our tumultuous inner world, fill the emotional gaps in our marriage, and help us remember who we really are. But they may do even more. National Dog Day Apparently dog's really are man's best friend. In developed countries that is. :) Women's Equality Day White women work 59 days for free. Black women, 94 days. Hispanic women 117 days. Put another way, it's as if after July 21 (Hispanic women) August 21 (Black women) or October 16 (white women) don't receive a paycheck. Annually. Uh. Be Nasty Day This is another "holiday" that I'm not sure should be observed.  There's no benefit or even pleasure to being nasty to others.  You will lose friends, family, and even who you really are by being nasty. Let's say today is opposite today - try being perfectly pleasant today!
