Day 204: 3 C's

Challenge. Conflict. Change. I'm grateful for the 3 C's of personal growth and development.  They all work together, if you allow them, to carry on the process of becoming who you were designed to be, to coming into the full potential you were created for. It works like this.  A challenge is issued.  A conflict usually arises from it because the challenge is personal, probably pierces your pride so therefore a conflict between our pride and others or our soul ensues.  If we practice good conflict resolution then change is birthed from the challenge and the conflict.  This is the abridged version of the 3 C's but I trust that you are smart enough to figure out the unabridged version or find someone who can help you figure it out! I'm grateful for the 3 C's even though they often sting because in the end I know if I can get my pride set aside and take on the challenge and resolve the conflict well then change, for the better, is happening in my life. Confronting will bring healing

You can't heal what you refuse to confront.   Unknown If you don't take a long, hard look at what is hurting you then you will not quit hurting.  Yes, it's scary to confront what is hurting you but face your fear to get to healing.  This goes for personal pain, relationships that have brokenness, or anything else that is causing pain and needs healing. As long as you ignore the brokenness you will have brokenness.  The only way healing comes is through confronting the brokenness.  It's a risk you need to take because you will find that the risk pays off.  You will be healed and that's the best pay off.  How do you confront brokenness?  Find healthy people who can help you confront the hurt, be brave enough to honestly assess your participation in the brokenness (if you did participate), and be brave enough to approach the people who caused part or all of the brokenness. Want to be healed?  Then confront the brokenness.

For Thursday, January 10: Oh are we in a conflict?

When introverts are in conflict with each other...it may require a map in order to follow all the silences, nonverbal cues and passive-aggressive behaviors! Adam McHugh Oh boy.  As an introvert and as one who observes behaviors of others I can say that this statement is pretty spot on.  Disagree with me all you want but stop for a moment and observe below the surface and you'll end up agreeing with me and therefore with McHugh.   I think the reason a lot of introverts passive-aggressively argue with others is  because  of that introverted nature that keeps them from even engaging in arguments in social ways!  Also, a lot of introverts that I know are peacekeepers (different than peacemakers btw) and peacekeepers are generally people pleasers (also better known as having fear of man) and people pleasers approach conflict in passive- aggressive  and nonverbal ways.  I know, I am one!  And I've had to work really hard, and still have to work...
