How long have you been with your spouse? Whether it has been a year or 60 or somewhere in between it might be time to review your commitments to one another - to revive the fun - to remember why you were so ready and willing to live with this person for the rest of your days. A few years ago the hub and I went through a rough patch - as all marriages will and do - and spending time was rare and frankly quite difficult. But we had made a promise to work things out when they needed to be worked out and to go the distance so we re-established date night. One month he planned them - the next month I did and so on. We did things that had us spending time together in ways that reintroduced the comfort level between us. Part of marriage is communicating - about differences in our personalities, about methods or ways to do something (parenting, cleaning, finances, pretty much any and everything), etc. And sometimes those communications go sideways - you know what I'm talking about if you are in a relationship with someone. *grin* Think about you and your spouse today - about your differences and how you communicate those to each other. How do those communications go? Are they tense? Are they easy? Can compromise, if necessary, be reached? Or does it become a taboo subject in the house?
