Columbus Day Oy vey.  Not until I was an adult, and not until the past couple of years at that, did I learn about the controversy surrounding Christopher Columbus. When I was a kid it all sounded so great, "In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue."  But in the past few years the evidence suggests that perhaps we shouldn't be celebrating him.
