Boy Scout Day The Founders of the Boy Scouts The Mission & Vision Statement In 2010 the Boy Scouts celebrated their 100th Anniversary by converging on Washington D.C. Unfortunately, for our family, we ended up there the same week. SIGH . Every national monument, museum, etc that we wanted to go to was overtaken by Boy Scouts, 50,000 of them.  Because of them we didn't get into the National Archives, a Spy Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and a few other places. It was incredibly frustrating.
