#ShoutOutSaturday

And SO MUCH MORE. This #ShoutOutSaturday belongs to God, the author of my story. In fact one of my favorite scriptures is, "Your very lives are a letter that anyone can read by just looking at you. Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God’s living Spirit; not chiseled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it." (2 Corinthians 3:3 MSG) In Acts 17:28 Paul quotes a poet who rightly said, “In him - GOD - we live and move and have our being.” That describes my life with Christ. Even if I tried to get away from God I couldn’t. In fact my heart echoes what Peter said in John 6 (:68-69), “Master, to whom would we go? You have the words of real life, eternal life. We’ve already committed ourselves, confident that you are the Holy One of God.” (MSG) Amazing grace. Do you have someone who completes you? Take some time to give them a shout out today!

On this #ShoutOutSaturday my family takes the spotlight. My family is AMAZING. My brothers married these incredible women who add such love and depth to our family circle. They are some of my best friends. Every member of my family is fantastic and each one of them have been the anchor in my sometimes stormy life. Their love, grace, cheerleading, etc have steadied me. They have grounded me, advised me, believed in me.  So today I'm shouting out to my family - every single one of them - for their unwavering presence in my life.  Have you thought about your family lately and the role they play in your life? Give them a shout out of love and gratitude today!

My framily (friends + family = framily) is the focus of my #ShoutOutSaturday. Some of these people are also in my three and twelve group but some of them are firmly in my framily. And framily is just as important in my life as my three's and twelve's. The people I call framily are ones who have experienced something life changing with me. And true to family we all don't talk to each other all the time or see each other that consistently - we are a framily spread throughout the nation - but we would be there for one another in a heartbeat, in fact we have. There is a comfort between us born of traveling together and seeing each other at our best and worst and in between. These people make my heart explode, I am so honored to call them framily.  Do you have people in your life you consider framily? Give them a shout out today!  We started off this big... and then we grew... and grew... AND HERE WE ARE 10 YEARS LATER - STILL FRAMILY!  (Aug...

#ShoutOutSaturday

My #ShoutOutSaturday is for those people who have had seasons in my life and I've had seasons in theirs. Even though our season of friendship has come and gone those people I'm shouting out to because they each played a role in my life. In so many ways they contributed to my personal growth. Some of those friendships didn't end so great but I'm still grateful for them.  Here's two posts I thought conveyed today's shout out idea really well: We’ve all had those people in our lives that we thought would stay forever.   An Open Letter To The Person Who Used To Be My Best Friend Who has been in your life for a season or two? Give them a shout out of gratitude today for playing the part in your life they did.

#ShoutOutSaturday

My #ShoutOutSaturday is dedicated to my three's and twelve's . This group of people have gone the distance with me. And when I say distance I mean down to the depths of my life - the rock bottom. And it is dank, cold, and icky down there. Yet these people stayed down there with me and helped me climb up and out back into the light. I've got quality people in my life, a public shoutout is the least I could do.  I loved this post and some of the reasons our besties deserve a shout out.  A Shout Out To Best Friends Who has been to the rock bottom of your life with you and gone the distance? Give them a shout out of love and gratitude today!
