National Nut Day  ( additional info ) When I was a toddler my grandparents and my parents would feed me nuts. I wasn't old enough to tell them that I didn't like it. So I would store them in the side of my cheek, yes like a squirrel.  They wouldn't see them in my cheek and would lay me down for a nap. After my nap I would unpack my cheek of the nuts when an adult would come and get me. Imagine their surprise! And fear. I took a nap with nuts in my mouth, I could have choked! After this happened once or twice they finally figured out that I didn't like nuts and they quit giving them to me.  :) Best and Worst Nuts for Your Health Watch the 1987 film Nuts Common Types of Nuts Smart is Cool Day We need to convince kids that smart is cool The Big Bang Theory , making smart cool Caps Lock Day Either celebrate this day by using no capitals at all and giving the caps lock a break OR by using the caps lock for everything!

Evaluate Your Life Day  "The unexamined life is not worth living." Socrates Take some time to be honest with yourself about yourself.  Nobody else needs to know what you see in your evaluations, but in the interest of growth and character development be brave enough to evaluate yourself. All for What? Evaluate Your Life Day Here's some questions to consider as you evaluate your life: Am I happy with where I'm at in my life right now? What am I passionate about? What am I doing to pursue my passion? Who and what things are weighing me down that I need to get rid of? How will I do it? What do I need to forgive myself for?  When did I feel most alive this year? What was sacred about that moment? What self-love actions can I practice on a daily basis? What do I want to let go of? (i.e. self-doubt, fear, self-critical thoughts) What do I want to dedicate 2016 to? (i.e. artistic pursuits, independence, etc) What did I learn about myself in 2015? What

Wear Something Gaudy Day What do *you* mean  gaudy ? I would say the most gaudy dresser of our time is probably Lady Gaga . Other nominations?  :) Mulligan Day A Mulligan is a second chance, a "do over." What would you like to do over? What would you like a second chance at? Today is the day to pursue that. Today you can make a Mulligan Stew . Traditionally, mulligan stew was an improvised dish prepared by hobos with whatever food they could get, but it has gradually come to represent a variation of Irish beef stew, often served as a St. Patrick's Day main dish. Here's some movies about second chances, a 1998 film and a 2013 TV Movie .
