#ShoutOutSaturday

My framily (friends + family = framily) is the focus of my #ShoutOutSaturday. Some of these people are also in my three and twelve group but some of them are firmly in my framily. And framily is just as important in my life as my three's and twelve's. The people I call framily are ones who have experienced something life changing with me. And true to family we all don't talk to each other all the time or see each other that consistently - we are a framily spread throughout the nation - but we would be there for one another in a heartbeat, in fact we have. There is a comfort between us born of traveling together and seeing each other at our best and worst and in between. These people make my heart explode, I am so honored to call them framily.  Do you have people in your life you consider framily? Give them a shout out today!  We started off this big... and then we grew... and grew... AND HERE WE ARE 10 YEARS LATER - STILL FRAMILY!  (Aug...

#FreshAirFridays

It turns out that fresh air really IS medicinal. Check out these health benefits for us when we take deep breaths of clean, fresh air. So why not get out there today, on #FreshAirFridays , and take some deep breaths - filling your lungs and your body with the medicine of nature.

#ThrivingThursday

thrive THrīv/ verb grow or develop well or vigorously. prosper; flourish. Here's a question for us today on #ThrivingThursday , Do You Want to Survive or Thrive in Life? It's a good question. We will all say we want to thrive, of course! But do we actually mean it? Do we even know what it means to thrive in life? Today is a chance for you, and I, to think about this life we are living and think about it we are living it passively or actively.

#WorkplaceWednesday

Let's talk about co-worker relationships today for this #WorkplaceWednesday. Are you a good coworker? Do you have good coworkers? It's easy to talk about bad coworkers - we do it far more often than we talk about good ones. Here's one way you know you enjoy your coworkers... But how do you know if YOU are a good...great...coworker?  Here's an article I found that gave some good direction for being the best coworker you can be.  Click here So go forth and be awesome!

#TravelTuesday

For #TravelTuesday I've been thinking about my nation. I've been to a few states but nowhere near all 50. It would be fun - and interesting - to visit each state at least once. It would also be fun to travel through states in some kitschy manner - like traveling Route 44 and making stops along the way. Or traveling to all the big roadside attractions like the World's Biggest Dinosaur and stopping at each one (I stole this particular idea straight from a book I read in which the main characters did this very thing). Or visiting all the Hall of Fames, or baseball stadiums, or fill in the blank . Not only would it help the traveling bug but it would give me particular insight into the different cultures of this melting pot country I call home. I would get to experience the different regions - their music, their dialects, their food, their dress, their pride, and yes, perhaps even their flaws.  So today I'm going to spend some time looking up a state I haven...

#MondayMunchies

If you Google "munchies" guess what you get? Lots and lots of weed-related content! HA! Here in Colorado we are all legal and the jokes never get old. Never. I don't particularly want to know why or how you might have the munchies today, I just thought we could celebrate the delicious kinds of munchies out there! What are your taste buds saying to you today? Something...sweet? salty? sweet AND salty? savory? My husband's favorite munchy is chips & salsa. I'm pretty sure he could live on that! I have a few favorites depending on my mood. Today what sounds the best to me is Doritos. I love me some Doritos!

#SneakAwaySunday

How far away are you willing to drive for your #SneakAwaySunday? My radius extends to no more than an hour away or else I am spending my sneak away on the road instead of rejuvenating. You have to decide what's right for you. Within my radius I pick a coffee house, almost always locally owned, that seems to be large enough to have niches and corners for people like me to hide in. And then I get there as fast as I can! I pop in my earbuds, put on some music for white noise, and read/write or whatever it is that I need. I drink yummy things - and depending on what's there, eat some yummy things. And I stay hidden away for as long as I can, because I know when I go back to life it's back to the grind. Today I've got plans to head to one of my favorite coffee house spots for a sneak away. Don't take this the wrong way but I hope I don't see you there! *wink*
