Square Dance Day The link provides a nice history of square dancing. I grew up familiar with square dancing. My maternal grandparents square danced for years and years. They were part of a dance group, they traveled, competed and everything! It was kind of a big deal for them. My participation? I played dress up with my Grandma's petticoat slips! They were itchy but I transformed them into all sorts of outfits.  :) Electronic Greetings The Origin of E-Cards Send a greeting or two today!  I find these the most helpful when I want to send a card to a friend overseas. Thanksgiving Day Until 1789 days of Thanksgiving were celebrated on random days and throughout the year and then on October 3, 1789 President George Washington made Thanksgiving "a thing." He issued the first Thanksgiving proclamation and then on October 3, 1863 President Abraham Lincoln established the day as a holiday , and in 1941 it was passed into law by Congress. Have a Bad Day Day   Having been on both ends of customer service this day I resonate with. Bad Customer Service isn't always the fault of the customer service rep. Sometimes it is instigated by the, wait for it, customer. *GASP* Newsflash : the customer is not always right. Now, that being said if the customer is wrong it doesn't warrant poor behavior from the customer service rep.  To quote Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?" Both customer and customer service rep need to behave, to remember their manners, and to extend civilities. Maybe You Get Bad Customer Service Because You're a Bad Customer It is a huge pet peeve of mine when customers act like jerks and treat the person trying to help them like dirt because of some false entitlement that they are "always" right.
