Meal-Kit Delivery Services have caught on. Have *you* participated? I haven't yet but have considered it from time to time. Nowadays there are so many different ones out there that how is one to choose? It seems that first you start with your main entree preferences - vegan, vegetarian, meats (any or all), seafood and from there you can begin to cull through all the choices.  The meal-kits are designed for a few different reasons: 1) broaden palettes and expose people to new and/or different foods. 2) give people alternatives to fast food and sodium/calorie heavy restaurants. 3) provide people and families opportunities to create delicious food together. If *you* are like me and haven't tried a meal-kit delivery yet but have been considering it and yet don't know where to start on picking one, I've included three different reviews of the major ones that might help you choose which one to try first. I Tried 6 Home Meal Delivery Services…Here is My

#MarriageMonday

How long have you been with your spouse? Whether it has been a year or 60 or somewhere in between it might be time to review your commitments to one another - to revive the fun - to remember why you were so ready and willing to live with this person for the rest of your days. A few years ago the hub and I went through a rough patch - as all marriages will and do - and spending time was rare and frankly quite difficult. But we had made a promise to work things out when they needed to be worked out and to go the distance so we re-established date night. One month he planned them - the next month I did and so on. We did things that had us spending time together in ways that reintroduced the comfort level between us. Maybe that's what you and yours need - or maybe you just need to remember to have fun together!  Here's a couple of ideas (below) and you can find more on my Pinterest board for all things marriage . #SunnySunday

Needing a dose of sunshine during this month of winter? This might sound familiar because I asked a similar question last month! But in these months of winter when the temperatures can dip below freezing and the air has a snap to it, one can't help but think of the sunshine and long a little bit for a soak in some rays. It seems February is a popular month for people to want, perhaps need, to travel to warmer climates for a few days.   So I Googled sunny locations and came up with some options. Some require a passport , and others don't. Maybe, like me, you can't travel - domestic or abroad - to some sunshine. Might I suggest a Google search of sunny days and just spending some time looking at places of sunny days? That might help a bit.

#SaturdaySaint

Today's #SaturdaySaint is Francis of Assisi.  Francis was a complex figure, a man who contemporaries claimed lived out the Sermon on the Mount better than anyone else, except of course, the man who first preached it... read more about his influence on faith here.  ( Here's another article about him as well. ) When I was in elementary school we did a musical of sorts at the church we were attending. We sang a song that moved me so deeply that it became a refrain in my soul year after year. I tried to find the song but never could - still can't. It's as if it never existed and yet I know it did, I remember the sheet music to it. Many years later, with that song playing in the background of my life I watched a documentary about St. Francis of Assisi and discovered a prayer of his was the basis for this song that I loved but never could hunt down. I was overjoyed to finally discover a basis for this song that meant so much, that means so much, to me. I would lo

#FridayFunny

Today's #FridayFunny is courtesy of Jim Gaffigan. If you've not heard of him look him up! He's super funny and doesn't need to be filthy to be so funny. This preview clip I'm sharing today is a few years old but makes me laugh just as hard now as I did the first time I saw it. I hope it gets you laughing as well!

#ThankfulThursday

C'mon, you know how you can be. *wink*  I know how I can be...grumpy, complicated, confusing. I go radio silent more often than is probably healthy. I am also a great hugger and baker. But the fact is, I feel pretty fortunate that - despite my desire to live the hermit life - I have people in my life who have decided to stick around when they have the choice to leave me.  So today I'm going to reach out to people I know have made a choice to stick around and thank them. They are the true ones. The ones who don't get going when the going gets tough. I really am incredibly thankful for those people.
