Day 94: You

Yes, YOU.  I'm grateful for you.  For the you's* who have walked with me for years - through the mountains and valleys of my life.  For the you's who raised me and helped my parents raise me.  For the you's who I have worked with in my various jobs over the years.  For the you's that I have had the honor and blessing to experience life-changing events with. For the you's that have been the bad kind of sandpaper in my life, yes I'm thankful for even you.  For the you's who have been the best kind of sandpaper in my life, I am very thankful for you.  For the redheaded you's I have the privilege to raise, as scary as it is. *wink*  For the you that decided to enter into covenant marriage with me and put up with me for the rest of our lives.  For the you's who were stuck with me in life since we we raised by the same parents. For the you's who my other you's brought into my life through marriage.  For the you's who have made me an Auntie.  For the you's who have mentored me, taught me, counseled me, guided me.  For the you's who I can call bestie (yes, there's more than one).  For the you's I am invited into their lives to listen to their hearts.  I'm grateful for the you's in my life, the ones I have named and the ones that go unnamed because I am so blessed to have so many you's in my life.

*spell check is tagging me on the spelling of this word.  It says no ' should be in it, I say it should. I'm going to go with me because it's my blog and I can do what I want. :)

The End of Affirmation 365

I've been thinking about it for over a month. Usually, when I'm in it I'm engaged. But this time? I started it indifferent and I've felt indifferent all along. I should have never started. Hindsight is 20/20 they say and they aren't wrong. So when I opened my eyes this morning it was clear. It's time. Time to quit this 365. This is the first 365 that I haven't posted several of the days, the first 365 that I wasn't super excited about, the first 365 that I've quit. I've changed my social media presence and interactions the past year so this is also the first 365 that hardly anyone has been interested in. Is it the topic or my decision to not be as accessible on social media? Or is it some other reason altogether? Well, regardless...I'm throwing in the towel on this one. I can't say if I'll ever do another 365 again. Time will tell and I will know if and when it's time.
