Shovel

I heard this song by Katie Herzig (and therefore was also introduced to her music for the first time) as I watched a video of all these amazing African children and this song was the background.  I love Katie's voice and music.  She really fits in perfectly with all the other artists that I find myself leaning towards in the past couple of years. 
Shovel is about burying the pain, hurt, sorrow of life and finding a new way.  We can't hear the birds chirping or feel the sun shining until we make a choice to bury the dead things of our life and begin to seek things that are living.  And as we bury that which makes us sorrowful we can be assured the the light of God rests on us.  His light is always with us.
