Came To My Rescue

Sometimes there's just a song (or in my case a song or two or three...) that just...gets me.  Like everything about it gets me - it becomes a verbalization of my heart and life.  And no matter how old it is it is still a song I gravitate toward, it never becomes old to my heart.  This is one of those songs.
He has rescued me.  What from you ask (knowing that I have led kind of a sheltered life)?  From myself! None of us are hidden from ourselves.  I am, in my human nature, selfish, cynical, doubtful, lazy, lacking grace and mercy, well I think you get the picture.  So do I need rescuing?  You bet! And anyone who interacts with me at all will agree I need rescuing! :) I'm pretty sure any of you would much rather be on the receiving end of my nature indwelt by God rather than the human one I just described.  It's just a guess...
He has rescued me.  What from you ask?  From hurts and wounds. Because by HIS wounds I am healed.  (You are too btw)
He has rescued me in a thousand ways.  He's rescued you too, some of you know and see it, some of you are unaware.  My prayer is that you would become aware.

Join TOMS One for One There is plenty of criticism out there for TOMS and its short term solutions. Critics don't even buy the "at least they are doing something" statement.  However, you have to start somewhere. And every bit of awareness helps something go from short term to long term.  We all have a part to play. Read a Road Map Day One of the many reasons I would stink at The Amazing Race is because I never did learn how to read a road map well.  I remember doing worksheets and class lessons on maps and I was able to skate by to pa
