National Pi Day
Bring on the pie!  Savory pies and sweet pies, bring them on.  I can't think of any better way to celebrate Pi day. Well, if you must know Pi is, well it's really long. Here's the one million digits of pi.
I'm thinking quiche for breakfast, pizza for lunch, chicken pot pie for dinner and sweet pies for dessert of course!

Today's celebration of Pi happens to be 'epic'.  The first few numbers of Pi are: 3.141592653.
3.1415 is today's date. And if you want to really celebrate Pi then do so at 9:26:53! I'm content celebrating the 3.14 part. *wink*

Genealogy Day
What is genealogy?
Why is genealogy important?
Have you done any research on your family history? You could at ancestry.com
Falsifying family lines for the sake of numbers. Beware.  If you are not part of the Mormon faith then I highly recommend you do not let them get their hands on your family lines, if you do you'll be Mormon before you know it.

Moth-er Day
Are you freaking kidding me? There is no way I am "celebrating" these disgusting creatures.  They are dusty and dirty, unpredictable in their movements, they are just icky!  I am NOT observing this today or any other day. *shudder*

International Ask a Question Day
Has there been a question or two burning a hole in your brain? Today is the day to ask your question(s) and hopefully get the answer(s)!

One Day Without Shoes Day Today is to raise global awareness for children’s health and education.  Why shoes? Because shoes help protect from bacteria in the dirt, rusty nails, dirty needles and shoes enable feet to withstand the long distances most children in developing countries need to walk to get to school. Join TOMS One for One There is plenty of criticism out there for TOMS and its short term solutions. Critics don't even buy the "at least they are doing something" statement.  However, you have to start somewhere. And every bit of awareness helps something go from short term to long term.  We all have a part to play. Read a Road Map Day One of the many reasons I would stink at The Amazing Race is because I never did learn how to read a road map well.  I remember doing worksheets and class lessons on maps and I was able to skate by to pa
