#SheSunday

I know I've called today "she" sunday but I'm going to do my best to make it applicable for he's and she's!  *grin*  To that end today's focus is about The Little Engine That Could and the article that inspired this line of thinking is from a website called menprovement.

In case you need a refresher on the story of The Little Engine That Could

The whole point of The Little Engine is belief. Going from I think I can to I knew I could - and did. I was probably 2 years old when I first heard this story and I've been hearing it ever since, but the lesson of the book still hasn't quite sunk in and become a part of me. How about you? Where are you at with the whole belief in self thing?

Author and Happiness Guru Gretchen Rubin is slightly annoyed by the story of The Little Engine{which I disagree with that particular opinion}but she can't get it out of her head - it's mantra of belief is stuck in her head. Read about her thoughts on it here. The story not only provides a personal mantra to adopt but also character traits that are important for life.

So today, on this #SheSunday, evaluate your belief-in-self level, do you think - and know - you can?

Join TOMS One for One There is plenty of criticism out there for TOMS and its short term solutions. Critics don't even buy the "at least they are doing something" statement.  However, you have to start somewhere. And every bit of awareness helps something go from short term to long term.  We all have a part to play. Read a Road Map Day One of the many reasons I would stink at The Amazing Race is because I never did learn how to read a road map well.  I remember doing worksheets and class lessons on maps and I was able to skate by to pa
