#WordWednesday

On this #WordWednesday I'm thinking about those times when I have been a bit quick to speak, not considering what kind of impact what comes out of my mouth may have on people and/or situations.
Sometimes those words that fly out of my mouth before I have thought them through come back at me years later and I do feel regret. Ugh. It's the worst - wanting to take back what you have said but knowing you cannot. Even apologizing or making it right doesn't erase the words once they have been said. I think this affliction is a lifelong lesson I am engaged in.

And a quick reminder - words said through social media, etc count. Those are actual, real words that have the same impact - if not greater in some instances - as verbal words. Measure those words just as carefully.
